About Bridge-Soft

Formed in 1997, Bridge-Soft is a software development company that specializes in providing process and quality data management solutions for water/wastewater utilities and analytical laboratories that significantly decrease the time required to collect, manage, and report on this information.  Its goal of “Advancing Water Quality and Security Through Technology” is supported by constant product innovation that improves their customers’ ability to implement advanced management programs such as ISO, HACCP, and risk management.  With clients stretching from the U.S. to Australia, Bridge-Soft enjoys a rich and unique understanding of the challenges facing water utilities, analytical laboratories, and the regulatory agencies that oversee them from a global perspective.

History

Bridge-Soft was formed in 1997 by Jon DiPietro and Eric Hinton with the goal of developing software products that integrate process and quality data into a single, integrated solution.  The first major implementation of its flagship product (QMS) was delivered to specialty chemical manufacturer Rohm and Haas (Marlborough, MA) in 1999.  After expanding the solution to 13 North American and one European facility, Bridge-Soft turned its focus to applying its products and expertise in the water and wastewater industries.

Goulburn Valley Water (Shepparton, Victoria, Australia) became the first water utility to implement QMS in 2003.  Bridge-Soft made several significant design changes to accommodate the differences in requirements of the water and wastewater industries.  Several other installations were subsequently completed for water authorities in the state of Victoria.

In January of 2006, Bridge-Soft formed a strategic partnership with Simmonds and Bristow (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia), an analytical laboratory servicing northeastern Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.  As a full service analytical laboratory, S&B implemented Bridge-Soft’s Quality Management System (QMS) to manage their own internal laboratory information.  This information is made available in real time to their clients through Bridge-Soft’s Virtual Delivery Platform (VDP), an advanced web portal hosted by S&B.  David Bristow, Managing Director for Simmonds and Bristow expressed his thoughts on the partnership: “Every once in a while you come across a truly amazing idea.  This is how I think of Bridge-Soft’s products.  They integrate everything we and our clients have done manually for years into one seamless integrated package.”
